BREAKING: J.J. McCarthy Unlikely To Play In Week 3 vs Bengals After Suffering Injury

The Minnesota Vikings will likely be without their young starting quarterback on Sunday when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals.

According to multiple reports, J.J. McCarthy suffered an ankle injury during Sunday night’s 22-6 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and is unlikely to play in Week 3.

With McCarthy likely out, the Vikings will turn to Carson Wentz to start against the Bengals, who will also be without their starting quarterback, Joe Burrow.

It’ll be Carson Wentz vs Jake Browning.

McCarthy struggled mightily in his second career start, completing 11 of 21 passes for 158 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.
