Chargers’ Najee Harris Feared To Have Suffered A Torn Achilles vs Broncos

All indications are that Najee Harris’ season is over.

The Los Angeles Chargers running back left their game against the Denver Broncos with an apparent non-contact Achilles injury on Sunday afternoon at SoFi Stadium. Harris took a step in the backfield at the start of a play in the second quarter when his left ankle just gave out as he planted. Harris didn’t make contact with anybody, and nobody was around him when he went down.

He was clearly in a lot of pain when he hit the field, and he was seen pounding the turf repeatedly after the play ended as the team’s medical staff came out to help him. Harris was eventually carted off the field.

Harris was almost immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game and will undergo an MRI to confirm the achilles injury.
