The Arizona Cardinals suffered an embarrassing Week 5 loss to the winless Tennessee Titans after blowing a 21-3 lead.
What made the lose worse was the fact that running back Emari Demercado made one of the most infamous blunders in football: dropping the ball before crossing the goal line. His would-be 72-yard touchdown was wiped out after review showed he lost possession inches shy of the end zone. Instead of sealing a Cardinals win, it became a turnover that sparked a Titans rally.
Tennessee turned the mistake into points and stormed back from a 21-3 deficit to stun Arizona 22-21.
A day later, a video has surfaced appearing to show Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon chewing out Demercado not ehe sideline after the blunder and even striking him in the chest in frustration.

The mistake will lead people to question the future of Demercado with the Cardinals. As for Gannon, the noise surrounding his future will only grow after the latest loss.
The Cardinals fell to 2-3 on the season.
