49ers-Rams Australia Game In Week 1 Will Kickoff At 10:35AM Melbourne Time

The NFL announced on Wednesday that the Los Angeles Rams vs San Francisco 49ers game in Melbourne, Australia will be played on Thursday, September 10 at 8:35 p.m. ET, 5:35 p.m. PT.

With the 17-hour time difference between California and Melbourne, Australia, the game will be played on Friday morning (Sept 11th) at 10:35 a.m. local time in Melbourne. It’s taking place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the first NFL regular-season game ever to be played in Australia.

The network that will air the game is yet to be announced.

It’ll be interesting to see how both teams handle travel to Australia. A direct flight from San Francisco / Los Angeles to Melbourne is roughly 16 hours.

With this game being scheduled for Thursday, the defending Super Bowl champions – Seattle Seahawks – will open the season the night before on Wednesday. Their opponent is still to be determined.

Rams-49ers is one of nine international games on the NFC schedule for 2026, with games spanning four continents and seven countries – the largest international slate in league history.

Qualifying season ticket members will be able to purchase tickets for Rams-49ers starting April 1 at 2 p.m. PT, with hospitality packages going on sale on April 6 at 5 p.m. PT.
