Niick Foles, now a Kansas City Chief, was cut by the LA Rams just two weeks ago.
Last year, Foles ended up in St. Louis in exchange for Sam Bradford, which essentially made both teams worse.
HBO’s Hard Knocks is covering the now LA Rams this offseason, and captures the moment when head coach Jeff Fisher called up Foles and cut him, which as you’ll see is rather harmless. This is likely due to that fact that both sides mutually felt like they needed to part before the season.
Foles will be the backup QB behind Alex Smith this season as the Rams will go with QB Kase Keenum as #1 overall pick Jared Goff still readies himself for the NFL.
During the same episode, Hard Knocks also captured the cutting of Deon Long, who was released after breaking team rules that stated he was not allowed to bring quests into the team dormitories.
