Contrary to college football rules, an NFL player that goes down without being touched is allowed to get up and gain yardage until he is tackled.
That’s exactly what Jets RB Bilal Powell did against the Jaguars defense today.

After appearing to go down via trip-up from Jaguars LB Telvin Smith, the rest of the Jacksonville defense quit on the play even though there was no whistle. Powell got up, and ran in for a 75-yard score.
