REPORT: Falcons Player Tests Positive For COVID-19; League Won’t Cancel Game After Contact Tracing

We have our first player to test positive for COVID-19 during the NFL season.

On Sunday, it was reported that the Atlanta Falcons were placing rookie cornerback A.J. Terrell on the COVID-19 reserve list after he tested positive.

One day after Falcons’ CB A.J. Terrell tested positive, there are no new additions in Atlanta to the COVID-19 list, per a source; all Falcons’ players and coaches tested Saturday came back negative today.

After the Falcons got news of the positive test, they conducted additional contract tracing and had all other coaches and players come back with a negative test.

They NFL and the NFLPA both deemed it to be safe for the Falcons to play their Week 3 game vs Chicago Bears:

In addition, Terrell is the only positive test for Week 3:
