The New York Giants suffered a tough loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5, 44-20. But what made the situation worse was the team lost their starting running back Saquon Barkley and starting quarterback Daniel Jones.
The Giants quarterback was carted to the locker room with less than three minutes left in the second quarter after taking a nasty hit to the head while trying to break the goal line as a runner. Jones came up wobbling and was quickly escorted off the field and was carted to the locker room. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game shortly after.
The Cowboys linebacker who delivered the hit, Jabril Cox took to Instagram to gloat about the concussion that Jones suffered, sharing a clip of the play with a caption, ” “giving out concussions!!!” accompanied by an emoji with head bandages:
