Robert Saleh On Mike White Being Jets Long-Term Starting QB: “Anything Is Possible”

The New York Jets pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the season on Sunday thanks to their backup quarterback.

Mike White, the Jets’ unknown backup quarterback who was making his first NFL start, threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns as the Jets stunned the Bengals, 34-31.

After the game, Jets head coach Robert Salah was asked about Mike White’s future with the team and essentially opened the door to White actually being the Jets long term answer at quarterback:

This is sure going to raise an eyebrow with people considering the New York Jets drafted Zach Wilson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Wilson, who is on injured reserve with a knee injury.

We don’t know what the future holds for Mike White, but we do know that he will start on Thursday when the Jets travel to Indianapolis to face the Colts. If he continues to play like this, you have to wonder … is the impossible actually possible?
