REPORT: Four Teams Are Preparing To Take ‘Major Swing’ At Trading For A Quarterback

This NFL offseason is expected to be a wild one.

According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, four teams are entering the offseason looking to take a major swing at obtaining a franchise quarterback.

“We still don’t know which quarterbacks are going to be available,” Breer wrote in his latest Monday Morning Quarterback column. “There’s a good group of suitors out there ready to take a major swing at the position (the Broncos, Eagles, Panthers and Commanders). And the fewer top-end guy — such as (Russell) Wilson, (Deshaun) Watson or (Aaron) Rodgers — are available, the greater Garoppolo’s value will become. So yes, the Niners will be trading him and turning to Trey Lance. But just what he brings back is less certain.”

Aaron Rodgers is yet to make his decision on what he wants to do for next season, but the Packers reportedly are prepared to go “all in” for the two-time defending league MVP, who appears to have a much healthier relationship with the organization now than at this point last year.

Russell Wilson is another big name that may be moving as well. Deshaun Watson is the biggest wild card as he obviously has the talent, but his off-the-field sexual lawsuits have scared away multiple teams who don’t know what the NFL will do in terms of punishing him.

The Colts are likely to have Carson Wentz off the team should they choose to part ways with the veteran QB.

Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride.
