It’s been one of those seasons for the Purdue Boilermakers.
The 1-8 Boilermakers hosted the No.4 Penn State Nittany-Lions at Ross-Ade Stadium and in the second quarter, while trailing 14-0, they thought they trimmed the deficit to one possession with a touchdown.
Purdue sophomore wide receiver De’Nylon Morrissette did catch a pass from quarterback Hudson Card on some black-painted grass. The only problem? Morrissette was standing behind the pylon with the football out of bounds.
No catch, no touchdown.
Fans across the college football world had no choice but to clown the Boilermakers for their confusing paint job:
Penn State leads Purdue, 49-10 in the fourth quarter.
