Just one week after losing starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes to a torn ACL, the Chiefs backup quarterback Gardnew Minshew is feared to have suffered a torn ACL during Sunday’s 26-9 loss to the Tennessee Titans, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Minshew suffered a left knee injury when he scrambled on the third play of the game and fell to the turf with a non contact injury.
Chris Oladokun, Kansas City’s third string quarterback, replaced Minshew.
Oladokun’s only previous regular season game in the NFL came in Week 18 of the 2024 season, backing up Carson Wentz during the Chiefs’ 38-0 loss to the Broncos.
Oladokun ran once for 5 yards, was sacked once and had a fumble in that loss.
