After withdrawing his name from the Cleveland Browns head coaching search, former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel is expected to be hired as the offensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Chargers.
McDaniel is still a candidate for the Raiders and Ravens head coaching job but if he doesn’t land those jobs, its expected that he will be in Los Angeles as the Chargers offensive coordinator, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
McDaniel will replace Greg Roman, whom the Chargers fired last week after two seasons calling offensive plays. McDaniel lasted four seasons as Dolphins coach, finishing with a 35-33 record.
