Sam Darnold is a Super Bowl champion.
That’s not something many people would believe if you told them last year but after signing with the Seattle Seahawks and leading them to Super Bowl LX, Darnold is hoisting the Lombardi trophy after a 29-13 win over the New England Patriots.
After the win, Darnold put everything in perspective, summing up the win by saying, “as long as you believe in yourself, anything is possible.”
It’s been a wild career for Darnold, who was the no. 3 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. After bottoming out, he had stints in Carolina and San Francisco. He signed a one-year deal with the Vikings last year and led them to a 14-3 record.
He signed with the Seattle Seahawks last offseason and the rest is history.
