Over the last couple of days, we’ve seen a number of teams lose their starting quarterback to injuries.
The Panthers, Saints, Jets and Steelers all have had injuries that have knocked their starting quarterback out of action for the foreseeable future — for the Steelers, it’s for the remainder of the season.
According to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Kaepernick’s camp has contacted the Steelers, Jets and Saints, but the teams either aren’t interested in the 31-year-old, or they didn’t respond entirely.
This report has been confirmed by SNY’s Chris Williamson:
Kaepernick has been out of the league since 2017 in-large part because his decision to kneel during the national anthem to protest police brutality and social injustices.
