ESPN Fires Longtime NFL Insider John Clayton

The ousting of recognizable faces at ESPN apparently hasn’t stopped.

The network let go of longtime NFL journalist, reporter, insider, and senior writer John Clayton Wednesday morning after 23 years with the company.

The letting go of Clayton comes as the latest in a long string of approximately 100 employees ousted by ESPN in recent weeks. Clayton joins Adam Caplan, Andrew Brandt, Trent Dilfer, Ed Werder, Britt McHenry, Ashley Fox and Paul Kuharsky, all discernible faces that covered the NFL that were also let go as part of the layoffs.

Clayton sent out this tweet following the news.
