New York radio legend Mike Francesa usually tells it like it is regardless who he’s talking to and nothing shows that more than what he told Giants head coach Pat Shurmur during their weekly interview.
The WFAN host told Shurmur:
“You look like a bad team through two weeks. I hate to say it, but you look like a terrible team. You’re not good at anything, clearly fed up with Shurmur’s “got to get better” coach speak following another dismal performance.
“You’ve got a really good running back (Saquon Barkley), and you’ve got a good kicker (Aldrick Rosas) who missed a field goal yesterday. But other than that, you don’t look very good at anything. You can’t get the ball in the end zone and you can’t stop anybody. That’s a hard combination.”
Here’s the full clip:
Pat Shurmur really couldn’t say much back considering everything Francesa was saying was pretty spot on.
The Giants fell to 0-2 after falling to the Buffalo Bills, 28-14 at home. Their defense looked lost, again and their offense couldn’t get anything going.
