David Katz Identified As Jacksonville Mass Shooter, Opened Fire After Losing Madden Game

Tragedy struck Jacksonville, FL Sunday as a gunman opened fire on a room full of gamers competing in an EA Sports Madden NFL 19 tournament at GLHF Game Bar at the Jacksonville Landing.

We now know who was at the hands of shooting more than 10 people and taking the lives of two of them.

20-year-old David Katz of Baltimore has been identified as the lone gunman who opened fire.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Katz was dead at the scene. Police also noted that Katz took his own life.

Katz participated in a Madden tournament in March, which can be seen in the below video that also includes a postgame interview that begins shortly after the 36 minute mark.
