CLEVELAND, OH – Browns QB Johnny Manziel was demoted from 1st string to 3rd string Tuesday afternoon, not something you particularly see in the National Football League. But then again, Johnny Manziel is not something you typically see in the National Football League.

Head coach Mike Pettine made the call to bench Manziel after a troubling video surfaced of the 22-year old partying. Manziel was scheduled to start Monday night’s matchup against the Ravens, and was supposably going to go with the veteran Josh McCown, The Browns though did surprise the league Wednesday morning, claiming the infamous squirrel that had a standout performance during this week’s Sunday afternoon game.

“Squirrel” as he’s referred to scored 36 fantasy points in the win and showed off some illusiveness and shiftiness that will come in handy in trying to escape the missed blocks from the Browns offensive-line. Squirrel ended the game with 10 broken tackles and a whopping 1 carry for 70 yards. Mike Pettine spoke to reporters this morning saying “We’re glad to have him as part of our team, seems like he’s not the party type like someone we know.” He also added that the QB will start against the Ravens, pushing McCown back to 2nd string.

Here’s the highlight tape, sit back and marvel.

Squirrel, a rookie out of Minnesota is listed at 1′ 2″ weighing in a 2lbs. It should be interesting to see if he can withstand the punishing hits of a pass-rush, but his 3.9 40 time should help him escape would-be sackers.
