BEREA, OH – Lost in all of the action from Sunday Night Football where the Packers and Giants are facing off at Lambeau and of course the second Presidential Debate, the Cleveland Browns popped up in the news for the second time today, first for being Tom Brady’s bitch in his 2016 redemption tour debut, and now for a surprising move in free agency.
After starter Robert Griffin went down in Week 1, backup Josh McCown falling to the same fate in Week 2, and now with Cody Kessler and clipboard Jesus Charlie Whitehorse both injuring themselves in Week 5, the Browns were in a desperate search for a quarterback. Without trying to move Terrelle Pryor to QB, therefore giving Pryor absolutely nobody with any talent whatsoever to throw to, the team has reportedly come to terms with free agent Kenneth Bone, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“The debate was on while were were scouring the benches of other teams on film for a QB to pickup, and that’s when Kenneth Bone came on our screens,” Browns GM Sashi Brown told reporters. “The guy was nervous as hell and all of America soon after made fun of him. The guy’s going to fit right in with the Browns organization.”
Although nothing is official yet, Schefter is reporting the deal could be worth somewhere in the range of 1-year, $12 million.
The Dawg Pound is about to get their newest Bone.
