Adidas is getting publicity this NFL combine, but it’s not for someone winning their offer they put out, but rather someone losing it.
John Ross broke the NFL combine record for the fastest 40-yard dash Saturday, missing out on Adidas’ offering a private island to the runner who broke Chris Johnson’s previous 40-yard dash record of 4.24 seconds while wearing it’s Adizero 5-Star 40 cleats.
Nike, who signed Ross, was wearing cleats with a swoosh on them instead of three stripes, and couldn’t resist taking a shot at their rival company after the record run.
On an island all by yourself.
Record. Broken. ⏱💨
