The Cardinals lost to the Lions on Sunday, but perhaps an even bigger loss came at the running back position, where David Johnson suffered a dislocated wrist.
Reports following the game Sunday night inferred that Johnson will miss extended time due to the injury, and it’s not looking any better come Monday.
The team will determine in their star RB will need surgery within 24-48 hours from now, a decision that could be the difference between multiple weeks and 3-4 months, although he’s expected to miss 12 weeeks.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the injured reserve is a possibility for Johnson, which would force him to miss at least eight weeks, per league rules.
