Washington Redskins safety Su’a Cravens is threatening to take legal action against police officers in Loudoun County, Virginia after he claims he was racially profiled and roughed up during a recent traffic stop.
Cravens recorded the video of the aftermath and posted it on his Twitter account:
And shoutout to the Police Officer that racially profiled me, followed me to the store, yanked and slammed me against my car, cuffed me and threw me in the back of his squad car for supposedly doing 39 in a 35 last week. Gotta love this world man

He accused me of smelling like marijuana from his vehicle as I was getting out my car and slammed me against my car. Cuffed me and put me in the squad car. Then search my car inside and out for 30 mins, couldn’t find anything, so he wrote me 3 traffic tickets. https://t.co/gg7ZsQabt6

TMZ Sports confirmed the 22-year old safety was pulled over by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Department on November 29th:
According to official records, Cravens was cited for going 39 in a 25 and also for having illegal tint on his windows. He has a court date set for January 26.
But according to Cravens, the entire situation was “Bullsh*t”, claiming he was only pulled over because:
“I’m black. I’ve got tattoos on my neck. I’m out here in a nice car.”
According to Cravens, he was put in handcuffs and forced to sit in a squad car while officers searched his car for drugs. After the police found nothing, he was eventually released and decided to flip his camera on, showing the officers he claims roughed him up.
Cravens, who retired from the NFL last season has recently announced he plans on returning to football.
