Granted a head-to-head collision would have been worse, but this is for sure the next more painful.
During the Tampa Bay Rays game against the Mariners Saturday, Rays’ first baseman Jake Bauers and right fielder Carlos Gomez both ran full speed after a fly ball hit into foul territory, only to somehow perfectly collide each other’s pelvises.

Thank goodness for cups.
Despite the freak incident, Gomez was able to catch and hang onto the ball for the out and the Rays managed a 7-3 win.
