The Steelers have begun their preparation for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns and one of their more important players has yet to join them.
Le’Veon Bell’s hold out is still on and there seems to be no end in sight after many people around the league believed Wednesday was the day he’d show up:
Meetings are at 9 am in Pittsburgh and #Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell is not present at the facility, I’m told. Wednesday of game week.

The absence comes one day after Steelers GM Kevin Colbert released this statement regarding Bell:

We are disappointed Le’Veon Bell has not signed his franchise tender and rejoined his teammates. Coach Tomlin and the coaching staff will continue to focus on preparing the players on our roster for our regular season opener on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
The longer he holds out, the less likely it is he’ll be able to see significant time on the field come Week 1 against the Browns on Sunday.
