Earlier this season, a petition was created to have Spongebob’s ‘Sweet Victory’ performed during the Super Bowl LIII halftime show in conjunction with the remembrance of the show’s creator Stephen Hillenburg, who died in November.
Well, it appears as if fans might get their wish.
Maroon 5 is set to take the stage during the halftime show and hinted at the possibility of Spongebob making their way into the show by including them in a teaser video.

To add more evidence there is something in the works, Rodger Bumpass, the voice of Squidward Tenticles, has confirmed that he will be making an appearance during the big game.
