Despite his uncertain future due to his legal issues, Deshaun Watson is planning on proceeding into the offseason with his sights sets on finding a new team and according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, he has two teams on his radar.
“He has begun evaluating potential fits for his services in 2022, with the Buccaneers and Vikings among teams on his radar,” Fowler reports.
Fowler adds that “while it’s early in the evaluation process”, Watson is looking for the “right blend of offensive system, coaching, talent, and most importantly, the chance to win.”
Earlier this month, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw their quarterback — Tom Brady — retire after 2 seasons with the team. They saw a lot of success with Brady, winning Super Bowl LV. For the Vikings, they seem to be committed to Kirk Cousins but things could change with a new general manager and head coach leading the reigns.
