Geno Smith Gave Zach Wilson Some Words Of Encouragement After Seahawks Win vs Jets

The New York Jets hopes of the playoffs came to an end on Sunday thanks to their old pal, Geno Smith.

Seattle beat the New York Jets, 23-6, to keep their postseason alive after Smith completed 18 of 29 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns.

After the game, the longtime backup was seen giving out some much-needed advice to Zach Wilson:

The Jets season started out very well, but the inconsistent quarterback play from Zach Wilson led to him being benched twice before eventually placing him on the inactive list. The second-year quarterback had his season go from bad to worse in Week 11 when he refused to take any accountability following a loss to the Patriots. After his lack of accountability, Wilson was benched for Mike White.

It’s clear Wilson’s tenure with the Jets is over and Geno Smith knows about all that as he faced similar heat during his time with the Jets so it’s nice to see Geno try and uplift the young quarterback.
