Roquan Smith got paid.

The Baltimore Ravens took care of some business ahead of Sunday’s Super Wild Card Weekend game against the Cincinnati Bengals by agreeing to terms with Pro Bowl linebacker Roquan Smith on a five-year contract that makes him the highest-paid off-ball linebacker in the league, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Smith’s extension is worth $100 million, including $45 million fully guaranteed with $60 million in total guarantees.

The Ravens acquired Smith from the Chicago Bears via trade earlier this season and his impact on the Ravens defense was evident almost immediately.

By locking up Smith to a long-term deal, the Ravens will have their franchise tag at their disposal as they enter an offseason of contract negotiating with Lamar Jackson.
