Cleveland Browns Unveil Top Five Finalists For New Logo Design

Every offseason it seems like there’s some bored graphic designer who creates a redesigned logo for an NFL franchise that goes viral but gets thrown by the wayside in favor of the team playing an agency millions to create a sometimes subpar design.

The Cleveland Browns, yes the team that usually does things wrong, is actually using this offseason to lean into this premise and use it as an opportunity to give the talented designers out there a chance to be the artists behind the team’s new logo by crowdsourcing a new design from fans.

After the success of last year’s contest to have fans design their ‘Brownie the Elf’ logo, the team has asked fans this go around to submit their designs for a new ‘Dawg’ logo, where the best were placed in a March Madness style bracket and voted on by fans until a winner is chosen.

The top five designs have been chosen and unveiled by the team.

Some of these appear mundane but contain neat easter eggs including a hidden ‘CLE’ in the neck of the middle design, and the hidden shape of Ohio, Hope Memorial Bridge, and more in the bottom right logo.

Our personal favorite? On that didn’t even make the top-five.

The next round of voting to narrow it down to one begins this Wednesday.

Which one of the five is your favorite?
