Multiple Cleveland Browns players had their vehicles stolen in the last few days including one player who was robbed at gunpoint for his vehicle.
According to Brandon Little of BrownsDigest, Browns CB Greg Newsome II was robbed at gunpoint for his car, the robbery occurred at Filter Experience on West Superior Avenue in Cleveland.
A few days earlier, Little reports that Demetric Felton had his car stolen. A third player, Perrion Winfrey became the third player to have his car stolen, which is a clear indication that Browns players are being targeted for their belongings.
The incident is under investigation and the Browns cornerback is said to be okay following the robbery. At this time, there is a belief that Browns’ players are the target of a potential crime ring.
Late Monday night, Newsome took to Twitter to speak out for the first time following the incident.
Newsome is in his third year in the NFL and has made 26 starts with the Browns over the past two years. Newsome, a Chicago native, is an intricate part of the Browns’ defense.
Demetric Felton, 24, was the team’s sixth round pick in 2021 while Perrion Winfrey, 22, was the team’s second-round pick in 2022.
