C.J. Gardner-Johnson Picks Off Baker Mayfield On First Drive And Hands Him Ball On Sidelines

C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Baker Mayfield exchanged pleasantries during the week with Gardner-Johnson saying the Buccaneers were a good team but needed a “good quarterback” while Baker clapped back, mentioning that Gardner-Johnson needs to watch film, considering he named a receiver who didn’t play much for the Bucs this year.

Well on the first drive of Sunday’s NFC Divisional Round game, C.J. Gardner-Johnson intercepted a Baker Mayfield pass that was intended for Mike Evans. When Gardner-Johnson went out of bounds on the sidelines, he handed the ball to Baker.

The Lions capitalized on the interception and got themselves on the board with a field goal.
