Deshaun Watson Is Openly Recruiting Tee Higgins To Sign With Cleveland Browns

Deshaun Watson has his No. 1 free agent target.

While speaking with quarterback trainer Quincy Avery, Watson advocated for free-agent wide receiver Tee Higgins to joint he Cleveland Browns this offseason, promising to have a pass-first game with Higgins lined up with Amari Cooper.

“We want to pass the ball,” Watson claimed. “That’s what we’re gonna do. We’re gonna pass the ball a lot.”

“We’re gonna take good care of you. The Cleveland fans are gonna love you to death, and we got the Clemson ties. We ain’t get to play with each other, but this is our opportunity.”

Watson’s first two seasons in Cleveland have been a huge disappointing as he’s averaging just 185 passing yards per game and has a rating of 81.7. The Browns enjoyed their best success through the air when turning to Joe Flacco this winter.

Adding Tee Higgins would be huge for the Browns, as he’s exceed 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons before 2023. A hamstring injury limited him to 12 games in a year that also saw Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow go down. Higgins just managed to mustard 656 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
