Damar Hamlin Discharged From Hospital, On Way Home To Buffalo

Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest during Monday night’s Bills-Bengals game, and despite Hamlin by most definitions dying on the field during the first quarter that fateful night, Hamlin’s miraculous recovery has allowed him to be discharged from the hospital less than one week later.

The 26-year-old has been receiving treatment from doctors at the University of Cincinnati Medical center after being rushed by ambulance to the Level 1 trauma center during the game, which was ultimately cancelled.

After originally having to have his heart restarted via CPR and breathing only able to be done via a tube, Hamlin quickly made progress with his lungs and heart returning to strength eventually allowing him to FaceTime teammates and respond to fans, even live-tweeting the Bills Week 18 game where his teammates scored a TD in their first play since the incident.

Hamlin is en route back to Buffalo which will surely even more so energize the his teammates and fans back in Western NY. He will continue to undergo monitoring and treatment there until back to full health.
