There’s a sticky situation in Boston.
The Red Sox are looking to defeat the reining World Series champs in the 2018 ALCS, and are getting a little help from pine tar in doing so.
Matt Barnes was dominant for the Sox in Game 2, and one fan recorded this video clearly showing the pitcher visiting and revisiting a spot on his non-throwing arm to gather pine tar in order to help him add movement to his off-speed pitches.
This pitcher had pine tar on his arm! Wtf?!? My uncle caught this. @espn @astros @SportsCenter @MLB pic.twitter.com/l3GX8utrto

Of course a pitcher hiding pine tar on his body or clothing during a game is nothing new, but Boston fans were quick to jump on Yankees pitcher Micheal Pineda during the 2014 season in a game against the Red Sox.
The series is currently tied 1-1.
